I grew up in Redondo Beach, California and received my bachelor’s from University of California Irvine with an emphasis on Marine Biology. I worked for the City of Los Angeles for almost 10 years as a marine biology technician and industrial waste inspector, and in 1997, an opportunity arose from a college friend that led me into the real estate industry. Changing careers allowed me to grow and help others as an entrepreneur, and my mathematical skills made it a smooth transition for me.
After two years doing sales in real estate, I decided my background in economics, statistics and math made originating mortgages a more sensible choice than real estate. It allowed me to analyze a borrower’s profile and make an educated decision based on underwriting guidelines. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and problem solving, and every potential borrower needs a true and accurate assessment on their finances and future financial goals. It is my job to help them navigate these decisions as buying a home is the largest investment most people will make in their lifetime.
In every transaction, my goal is always to provide the best customer service to my clients and referral partners. The mortgage business can be difficult and intense at times. Having to work through compliance, investor and government regulation can be stressful. If I can make the process of buying a home a little less stressful for our clients and become someone’s trusted advisor providing sound financial information and knowledge to help them make good decisions – that’s what it’s all about. I strive to make this process as smooth and simple as possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, mountain biking, water skiing, snowboarding and off-roading. California is a great place to live to enjoy the outdoors.
